Kia ora from New Zealand!
Yes, the Waitomo Caves and Rotorua trip are a must for visitors to New Zealand…but did you know that many of the people who do this tour option ALSO take Auckland’s Eco-tour and Farm visit (Coast to Coast Tours) tour as well?
It’s true! Check-out Tripadvisor.com and see the stats, then check-out http://www.coast2coastnz.com to see the itinerary of this all-inclusive, small group trip which is owned and operated by NZ and Mari hosts. The tour also includes a visit to their sheep farm, and you can even have the opportunity to offset the tour emissions by purchasing and planting your own Native tree on the farm. Visitors are assured a great trip on this unique-to-Auckland tour, and with 9 experiences along the route it’s a great option to do if there are time constraints on your New Zealand holiday.
I read a few topics. I respect your work and added blog to favorites.
The Waitomo caves are excellent, but there is also another lesser known glowworm site north of the Bay Of Islands. These can only be seen at night, but unlike Waitomo they do not put out their lights when you take flash photographs etc.
If you are going to see Rotorua properly, you need a car and at least 2-3 days. There are more sites to visit than the main one in the town, and these are all spectacular in their own way.
A MUST in my opinion if you are in the area is the Coromandel Peninsula. I think everyone ought to have the opportunity to visit Hot Water Beach and to create their own hot tub at the waters edge at low tide.
