Accommodation
45 villas spread across the circumference of the coral island open directly onto the beach to breathtaking views of shimmering turquoise ocean. All villas are furnished with thatched roofs, private gardens and a minimalist-influenced interior in vivid lime green, tangerine and yellow; where 20 of the villas are equipped with open-air jet pools.

Velaavani Bar
Meaning a shallow bay where turtles gather, ‘Velaavani’ is where you’ll spot turtles and even the occasional dolphin as you unwind to the sea’s gentle melody. Chill out at this waterfront bar by the lagoon and house reef where exotic, refreshing cocktails and scrumptious snacks are served up all day long.
Riveli
At the Riveli [which means ‘beam of light’ in Maldivian] you’ll definitely be intrigued by the marriage of Asian, Mediterranean and Maldivian flavours. Partake of the smorgasbord buffets and set dinners while feasting your eyes on the breathtaking ocean vistas. Sit by the turquoise waters on the wooden deck as you gaze upon the radiant sky while it changes hues with the rising and setting of the sun.

Recreation
Boasting one of the best house reefs in the country, Ihuru is the perfect place for snorkeling and scuba diving. With the coral reef only a couple of metres from the beach you need only to step out of your villa to discover the beauty that surrounds this island nation. From exciting beach volleyball and bracing water sports to entertaining board games and absorbing marine biology excursions, there’s something for everyone.
Marine Conservation
There’s no better way to spoil yourself than to open your eyes to the unspoilt beauty of the Maldives. Winner of the first Maldivian Environment Preservation Award in 1996 as well as the “President of the Maldives Green Resort Award” in 2002, Angsana Maldives Ihuru is home to more than a few outstanding marine biology research initiatives. Prepare to be surprised by the underwater ecosystem shared by Angsana Ihuru and Banyan Tree Maldives.
Diving
Embark on a personal nautical adventure as you explore one of the finest most vibrant house reefs in the Maldives. You’ll be delighted to know that one of the most interesting wrecks in the Maldives is to be found on the resorts very own house reef – at a perfect depth for most divers. For orientation and safety purposes you’ll be accompanied by an instructor on your first dive. If you are not an experienced diver, further training is advised.
US$15 will be charged per diver as an Insurance fee for DAN [Divers Alert Network] excluding divers that already have DAN Insurance. This is a one-off payment covering 21 days within the Maldives for any suspected or ascertained cases of decompression illness to a limit of 6000Euro. The resort is sorry to inform you that any other form of dive insurance is not accepted due to a contract agreement with DAN. The nearest DAN medical facility is just 15 minutes from Angsana and Banyan Tree resorts.
All prices are inclusive of 10% service charge and subject to change without prior notice. Please note that dive prices are inclusive of mask, fins and snorkel, while equipment hire, boat charges and insurance costs are not included in the price.
