The Island
The boat ride arriving from the airport approaches Laguna from behind the island making a broad sweep to enter its lagoon through a gap in the coral. From the sea, the island looks like a grove of coconut palms floating in the dreamy blue water of its own private lagoon.

Recreation and Activities
Whether you are searching for a holiday with lazy days relaxing in the sun or a more active stay in paradise, Laguna Maldives offers a variety of activities and facilities for you.
The fully climate controlled gymnasium, table tennis and floodlit tennis court are located in the centre of the island next to the spa. After a work out, the steam bath and plunge pool are ideal places to relax and ease tired muscles.
The free form pool with shaded Jacuzzi proves the perfect setting for whiling away the days with a fantastic sundeck and stunning views of the ocean.
The lagoon which surrounds the island is ideal for snorkelling, canoeing and windsurfing. Alternatively you can relax on board one of the resorts catamarans, while the Captain sails you away to some of the most beautiful reefs in the area.

Spa
Soothing hands and rejuvenating oils work their magic on a weary body and soul at the spa exclusive to Laguna guests. Full body Aromatherapy or Ayurveda massages are available as well as beauty treatments and a steam plunge pool. There is a steam room, free for guests having a massage. Skin painting (Mahendi Decoration) is done by an expert using traditional dyes.
Scuba Diving
Laguna Maldives has a fully equipped and professionally run private diving base on the island. Established in 1990 the Dive Center Laguna caters to both the novice and experienced diver. Operated to very high standards by VIT (CMAS), SSI and PADI qualified instructors; the centre can ensure that guests are given the opportunity to discover for themselves the beauty of the underwater world.
The diving is extremely varied as two boat dives a day guarantee that divers can cover all the best locations within this local area and dive in some of the most celebrated and famous dive sites in the world.
Whale sharks, turtles, morays, lobster, octopus and stingrays will be your company as you discover the magnificent underwater world.
Dive Courses
Whether you would just like to sample the underwater world, gain a full ‘Openwater’ qualification to become a certified diver or are looking to continue your scuba training, Dive Centre Laguna has the course and qualified staff to suit you.
Discover ScubaThis course gives beginners the opportunity to discover what scuba diving is really like. With limited depth and some basic skills you can enjoy the sensation of being under water knowing you have an instructor close by to assist or even take you by hand. Scuba DiverThis course is excellent for those of you who do want to get certified but do not have the time to finish a full Open Water Course. Upon completion of the Scuba Diver you will get an internationally valid certificate which allows you to dive under the supervision of a Dive Master or Instructor to a maximum depth of 12 meters anywhere in the world.

PADI Openwater DiverYou will start your training with four sessions in our shallow lagoon and progress to four open water dives getting the necessary background knowledge along the way. After this course you will be able to dive with us from the boat which means diving at the best sites available. Twice a day we will visit one of the 30 amazing reefs close to Laguna Dive SitesThe Maldives has an unparalleled underwater world with some of the most spectacular reefs found on earth. With Laguna itself being located to some of the very best including many Protected Marine Areas Two boat dives a day guarantee that divers can cover all the best locations within this area during their stay. Most dives are off the open Wadu Channel with its constant flow of the sea which enhances good coral growth and plenty of marine life.
