Your tour begins with a scenic view of Salzburg before touring the scenic and historical landmarks of the beautiful Lake District.

You will see the impressive hunting castle Fuschl, today a luxury hotel, where the Prince Archbishops spent many seasons. In St Wolfgang there is time to visit the famous winged gothic altar by Michael Pacher, and there will be a stop at the White Horse Inn for refreshments. From St Wolfgang you be able to enjoy a 25 minute boat ride (May 01 – October 26 only) to St Gilgen, where Mozart’s mother was born, on the other side of Lake Wolfgang.

Passing Castle Huttenstein, you will continue along the Mondsee. The ever-changing and contrasting scenery will make this tour an unforgettable memory.

Schedule

Departure Point: Tour departs from centrally located Salzburg hotels. If hotel details not advised at time of booking, tour departs from the bus terminal at Mirabellplatz (in front of St. Andrew’s Church)

Departure Time: 2:00pm – Hotel pickups commence prior to this time, exact pickup time will be advised on reconfirmation.

Return Details: Returns to original departure point at approximately 6:00pm

This is a wonderful tour. It was a small group which gave us the opportunity to get to know our guide. She was well informed. The only draw back was that we signed up for an English speaking tour, but some of the group didn’t speak English so the guide had to say everything in English and then in German, but the trip is absolutely worth that little inconvenience.
